stories move people
We harness the power of narrative through art, media (photography and video), and personal experiences to spotlight climate realities and mobilize action.
Scientific reports can tell us that temperatures are rising by degrees, but it’s the story of a farmer in Kano watching his crops fail year after year that makes climate change real and urgent. People connect with narratives that reflect their own experiences, fears, and hopes.
In Nigeria’s diverse cultural landscape, different communities experience climate change in vastly different ways. The flooding that displaces families in Port Harcourt tells a different story than the drought affecting pastoralists in Sokoto. Each story matters because it represents lived realities that policy makers and the broader public need to understand to take meaningful action.
This isn’t just documentation – it’s strategic communication. We craft stories that inspire action, not despair. That show climate change as a challenge Nigerians are actively confronting, not a fate they’re passively accepting. Through film, photography, writing, social media, and community storytelling events, we create emotional connections that translate into engagement and advocacy.
Stories also counter the narrative that climate change is someone else’s problem or too overwhelming to address. They show human resilience, and possibility for change.
