Founding of Preserve Our Roots: In the midst of rising climate disasters and personal displacement, Preserve Our Roots was born as a grassroots response to environmental neglect, flooding, and the silencing of young voices in climate conversations.

Early Mobilization & Education
Community Tree Planting Drives: Launch of local reforestation efforts in response to rampant deforestation in Lagos and surrounding regions. Over 1,000 trees planted in underserved schools and neighborhoods.

Youth Climate Education Workshops: Trained youth in schools on sustainability, climate literacy, and storytelling as tools for environmental justice.

Storytelling & Advocacy Expansion
"Our Roots, Our Stories" Campaign: Digital storytelling campaign amplifying lived experiences of climate-affected youth. Stories reached 10,000+ viewers globally.

G.R.E.E.N. (Growth, Reuse, Empowerment, Education, Nature) Park Pilot Begins: Designed as an eco-conscious, educational space built entirely from recycled materials, merging environmental restoration with climate education.

Launch of the First G.R.E.E.N. Sustainability Park: Inauguration of the pilot park at Bethesda Elementary School, Ikota, Lagos, benefiting over 800 children, built with 2,000+ kg of repurposed waste, and supported by 150+ youth volunteers.
